The end result of my attempt to recreate the cute hand-sewn doll I found. Not perfect, but Aiva totally loves them.

Another of my many projects given life by my super-human, hormone-charged energy. Got the table at a garage sale for $8. 2 bottles of spray paint, and voila! An art corner for the kitchen! Has made cooking and cleaning the kitchen MUCH easier for Mom.

It's a Girl!!

As different as this pregnancy has been from my first, I thought this one HAD to be a boy! So did everyone else. We were all wrong! We are expecting another sweet baby girl! We loooove little girls, and are so excited to have more sugar & spice & everything nice at our house! And Aiva is excited to have a little sis to hang with and teach all of her tricks.

I must, I must, I MUST . . .

. . . have this doll . . . for Aiva. Which means I will be making it, since the lady that makes these isn't selling them . . . and since I am nesting 25 weeks early. Ask my husband. An unstoppable force is driving me. I have never had this much energy in my life. My house is a frezied chaos of fabric scraps, paint chips, and messes that get looked over because I can't stop. I am currently making a quilt for Aiva's "big girl room." I have never sewn anything beyond a burp cloth before. But suddenly I have a long list of projects to work on. This is next. Back to the fabric store.

Drum roll please . . .

We are excited to announce, again, that we are expecting a new addition to our family this coming December! Please no one be offended that we didn't tell anyone sooner. We haven't told even our closest friends, just simply out of fear and superstition of losing another baby. I will be 13 weeks this Wednesday, and so far this pregnancy has been a dream compared to my others! I had resigned myself to the fact that it was just my lot in pregnancy to be sick and puking for a good portion of the nine months. At first, as the weeks passed, I was as anxious as you can imagine when the puking just didn't come. Finally, I decided to just be grateful and take it as it came. I have felt slightly nauseous, but the biggest symptom this go-around is complete and utter exhaustion. Exhaustion like I've never thought possible. Words can't even describe it. Exhaustion like, "I swear I'm going to fall over and die this minute if I don't sleep!" I must say, it is a welcome trade. There is an easy fix for being tired. Not so for my puking adventures of the past. I'll take it. But I'm officially into my second trimester, so we finally feel like we can spread the good word. Hooray!! We are soooo excited to have a new little one to love.
